International Master Course in Agricultural Heritage Systems: Scholarship opportunity
From January to May 2020 the 2nd edition of the “International Master in Agricultural Heritage Systems” will be held, in the framework of the initiative promoted by the Italian Government in favor of the FAO GIAHS Program (Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems).
The program is aimed to the promotion of traditional agricultural systems as intangible assets that combine the conservation of biodiversity, respect of traditional social structures and support for economic development based on local agricultural communities.
The course, held by the Department of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Systems of the University of Florence, has the main objective of promote the defense of traditional agricultural systems, through the training of managers and the dissemination of the topic at a global level.
In the framework of this initiative a total of 18 scholarships are available for the participation to the Master . The scholarship fully covers the costs of the course (travel, board, lodging, insurance).
